RM Education extends major contract with The Department of Education Western Australia

RM Education (RM) and The Department of Education Western Australia (DoE WA) are delighted to announce the contract renewal for the SIS Student Administration System for state schools in Western Australia. The Partnership between RM and DoE WA has been a strong and successful one for the last 11 years and this contract extension re-enforces the commitment between the two parties to continue to provide world class services to public schools in Western Australia.

The renewed contract is for 3 years and provides the option for an extension of a further 2. RM will provide 3rd and 4th line support, training and contract services as well as ongoing development and maintenance updates for the RM Integris Classic solution that was implemented in public schools from 1999 known as SIS Classic.

SIS Classic provides all schools with Student Administration functionality including Attendance, Timetable, Curriculum Manager, Exam Scheduling, Finance and numerous other student administration modules.

RM is unique in that no other company in the world has its range of products and services specifically designed for schools and colleges. RM supplies everything from purposely designed furniture for learning spaces to nationwide intranets and managed services. RM's passion is to bring to education products and services that help teachers deliver those inspiring, great learning moments that pupils find memorable and engaging, and so achieve even greater learning.

Nathan Turner, Managing Director of RM Education (Asia Pacific) commented "RM and DoE have enjoyed a successful partnership for the last 11 years and we look forward to continuing to work with the Department". He continued "Our relationship with DoE WA is an important one for RM as it was the first we established in Australia and we have worked closely together to develop a solution that delivers on the needs of both the Department and Schools of Western Australia. We hope that over the next few years we will be able to help the Department realise their intent to transition all schools to our next Generation of Student Management System, IntegrisG2. IntegrisG2 provides a fully enterprise Student Management System providing a lower total cost of ownership and great access to centralised information to provide improved decision making and targeting of resource to support the needs of individual schools".

The contract is estimated to be worth $3.5m over the next 3 years and will see RM continue to provide contract management and development services.

Bevan Doyle, CIO Department of Education Western Australia commented "The Department and RM Education (Asia Pacific) have worked closely together for many years to endeavour to ensure that SIS Classic meets the requirement of the Department and public schools in an environment that is ever changing. The positive relationship that exists is built on a combination of mutual respect and a determination to resolve any issues that may arise. The Department is looking forward to continuing to work with RM in to the future."
